James Weichert, Jr. leads the Weichert Development Company where he brings his multi-disciplinary background of real estate brokerage, corporate management and strategy, finance, new development marketing, and architectural design. James also serves as Vice Chairman for the Weichert Companies, a diversified family of real estate, corporate mobility, mortgage, insurance, title, private equity, investment, and development companies.
James previously served as President of Weichert, Realtors, one of the nation’s largest residential real estate brokerages, and Co-President of Weichert Companies. Prior to that, he succeeded in several increasingly important positions throughout the Weichert organization.
James began his career with Weichert as a sales associate in the Jersey City office of Weichert, Realtors and subsequently directed business development at Weichert New Homes. He then held the critical role of Regional Vice President, overseeing the management and sales operations of several longstanding Weichert, Realtors sales offices. Thereafter, James worked closely with the chief financial officer to gain financial insight across the Weichert Companies.
James graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and completed additional coursework at the Harvard Business School and the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
